Our potato and onion sacks are both functional as well as practical. Both potatoes, as well as onions, benefit from a dark, breathable environment. They last longer, taste fresher, and are safer to eat when done so. When exposed to excessive light, potatoes can turn green, which could indicate solanine (a neurotoxin). If consumed, it can be very dangerous.
Our 100% linen sacks are large enough for your kitchen needs, without being unnecessarily large. Each bag can hold about 9-10lbs of produce. A simple cinch on the drawstring pulls them shut.
We opted against a traditional burlap material for our sacks. They shed, can't be washed, and shed fiber onto your countertop and food. Our 100% linen bags cost more to produce, but they're worth it. They wash up easily in your washing machine on cold water, and air dry quickly. And lets be honest, they look great on your counter.
